Ready to Get Involved? ๐ŸŒˆ

Join us in bringing board games to kids in classrooms, after-school programs, and community centers near you.

Our Story ๐ŸŽฒ

Gaming Unplugged started from a simple belief: the best lessons happen when kids are having too much fun to notice they're learning.

A Table Full of Believers

We're educators, parents, game enthusiasts, and community builders who saw something magical happening every time children gathered around a board game.

That magic โ€” curiosity, collaboration, resilience โ€” is exactly what we've set out to spread to every child, regardless of zip code or background.

๐ŸŽฒ

Our Journey

1

The Spark

Our founder noticed how her own children's communication, patience, and problem-solving flourished on family game nights โ€” and wondered what would happen if every child had that.

2

First Pilot

We partnered with two local schools, brought in a dozen board games, and watched 60 kids transform. Teachers noticed the difference in the classroom within weeks.

3

Growing Roots

Word spread. Parents, librarians, and community centers reached out. We formalized as a non-profit and launched our first curriculum-aligned game library program.

4

Today & Beyond

500+ children served, 30+ partner organizations, and a mission that keeps growing. We're just getting started.

In-School Program

Classroom Game Days

We partner with teachers to bring curated board game sessions directly into the classroom. Each session is mapped to curriculum goals โ€” math, language arts, social studies โ€” so every game played is also a standard covered.

Ages: 4โ€“12  |  Duration: 60 min per session

๐ŸŒ†
After-School

Game Club

Our flagship after-school program runs 3 days a week at community centers and schools. Kids progress through a fun "Game Master" track, earning badges as they develop and demonstrate key skills.

Ages: 5โ€“14  |  Duration: 8-week sessions

๐Ÿก
Community

Family Game Nights

We host monthly community events where entire families play together. We provide the games, snacks, and a trained facilitator โ€” families bring themselves. It's free, inclusive, and a whole lot of fun.

Ages: All ages  |  Duration: Monthly events
